I have the idea of working on agri-products years ago. However, I had no idea how to do it since the beginning of 2019, my boss told me to create an eBay account to sell the printed items. I saw many products there and wondered why I don’t create a brand to sell.
Right after that, I took a trip to Buon Me Thuot and Dalat to learn about coffee. I met several processors who grow and process coffee themselves. They share their story, tell me their concerns and their journey to change from the traditional method to the current one for the high-quality beans. That is the right moment I fall in love with coffee and decided to kick start on #coffee.
I visited the biggest #arabica processing factory in Dalat. Their coffee is the best but they only use 30% of the factory capacity and sell locally.
I met a farmer who decides to grow organic coffee and learn to process special coffee for 9 years after working in the financial world. His cupping score is about 85 – 87, but still only can sell to coffee lovers in Vietnam or some tourists who visit his farm.
I met a #robusta team who teaches the processing methods and provides the tools for farmers to process coffee beans themselves under their examination.
I was truly impressed by all of them and decided to get involved with the mission of making Vietnamese coffee available to coffee lovers from all around the world.
That is how Phê Cafe was born.
